Frequently Asked Questions

Our mission is to serve those who face challenges in obtaining adequate nutrition due to illness, age, disability, or other circumstances. We do not have a financial threshold for eligibility, meaning our services are FREE and available to all who need them within Horry County, regardless of their economic status.

Mobile Meals of the Grand Strand operates throughout eastern Horry County. This includes the communities within the North Strand, Myrtle Beach, and the South Strand. Our service footprint stretches from Murrells Inlet to Little River, ensuring comprehensive coverage for our neighbors in need.

We are dedicated to providing hot, nutritious meals free of cost to ensure no individual goes without necessary sustenance. Contributions are accepted from those who have the means and wish to support our work financially, but this is not a requirement to receive our services.

Meals are thoughtfully prepared by Senior Catering, made ready to meet the strict guidelines of the CACFP and elderly nutrition programs. To guarantee that meals not only tasty but nourishing, Senior Catering has a registered and licensed dietitian nutritionist ensuring every meal is up to par.

Our volunteers, the heartbeat of our mission and coordinated by local churches, take on everything from meticulous packing to personal delivery. But what we serve is more than just a meal. It’s a gesture of care, accompanied by a warm greeting and a wellness check to ensure every client feels seen, heard, and valued well beyond their plate.

Volunteering with us is a rewarding way to give back to the community. With roles ranging from administrative tasks to meal delivery, there’s a place for everyone. To become a volunteer, reach out via our provided contact numbers or email, and we’ll find the perfect spot for you in our compassionate team.

If you or someone you know requires our meal delivery services, please call the Mobile Meals service number corresponding to your area. Our friendly staff will guide you through a simple setup process, which includes gathering necessary information and scheduling the delivery at your convenience.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, our funding comes from the generous donations of local churches, civic groups, and individuals, as well as support from multiple organizations. These contributions fund the preparation and delivery of meals, helping us to fulfill our commitment to the community day after day.
